About the edit menu

The edit menu is accessible only after loading a logfile. It contains the usual text operations plus editing functions for the Custom filters. If you want to apply a Loglevel, time or Custom filter, use the Filter menu.

 

The edit menu contains thes items:

·      Cut, Copy and Paste: Correspond to the standard Windows clipboard operations. Used for filters and logmessages. As all menu items they are only enabled when applicable.

 

·      Select All: selects all logmessages of the current document window

 

·      Find: used to find a string in the logmessage pane

·      Find Next: repeat the search in forward direction

·      Find Previous: repeat the search in backward direction

·      Select Filter Result: used to select logmessages based on a filter

·      Select Filter Result (Plus): like Select Filter Result, but additive

 

·      New Filter…: creates a new Custom filter. Custom filters are always toplevel nodes.

·      Delete Filter:deletes the selected filter node and optionally all of its child nodes.

·      Add Module Filter: adds a Module filter child node to the current filter node.

·      Add Case Filter: adds a Case filter child node to the current filter node.

·      Add String Filter: adds a String filterchild node to the current filter node.

·      Add Filter Reference: adds a Reference filter child node to the current filter node.

·      Rename Filter: renames a filter or changes the search-string of a String filter.

 

·      Negate Filter: negates the filter condition of the current filter node.
