Menu: File -> Open Log...
Toolbar:
Accelerator: Ctrl + O
This function invokes the Open logfile dialog from where you can:
· set the base directory for the current logchannel, and
· open an existing logfile in a new logfile document window.
Multiple logfiles can be open the same time. Use the Window menu to switch among them.
Tips:
Note that there are several other ways to open logfiles:
· Use the Open Single Logfile... function to open a logfile without setting up the logchannel directory first.
· Use the Open Recent Log function when you want to open the newest logfile of the current logchannel.
· And from Windows Explorer you can use:
· drag and drop:
Drop a single file on ITLogBook and it will be opened immediately.
You can even drop a logchannel directory. ITLogBook will popup the "Open Log…" dialog showing this directory.
· double-clicking:
Double-click a file to open it in ITLogBook. This also works when ITLogBook isn’t running yet and starts it then. If you then load more files by double-clicking this instance of ITLogBook -- as a true multiple document application -- loads them too.
