How to apply the filter (here we will choose an easy although not always conveniently applicable way):
· Look at the logmessages in the logmessages pane and choose an "interesting" logmessage, for instance a logmessage of Module "RndModule A" and Case "RndCase 1".
· Drag this logmessage with the mouse to the logfilter pane (left side) an drop it there over "Custom Filter", the folder for the user-defined filters.
· In this folder, a new item named "New Filter" (or "New Filter - 1", "New Filter - 2" and so on) will be created. It will be defined as an AND expression.
("x AND y" is graphically displayed as "x left of / below y". "x OR y" is graphically displayed as "x and y as parallel childs of the same parent. See the Custom filter composition tutorial in the ITLogBook online help.)
· Apply this filter by dragging it back to the logmessages pane.

Some notes about Custom filters:
· You can rename the filter by selecting its name and pressing F2 (or single-clicking it twice, but with a big delay between the clicks).
· Custom filters can be stored in and loaded from files -- use the File menu.
How to release the filter:
· Just press Ctrl-Q (Release Filter).
· Now the counts filtered (displayed) logmessages versus total loaded logmessages should be equal again.
